Dynamic Kit UMA Editor
version 2.1.0 – Unity 5.2 Indie and Pro.

The DK UMA Editor is a tool to generate procedural characters, it is built using the UMA tool created by Fernando Ribeiro.
It offers a totally new redefined creation process, using an ensemble of automated mechanisms and a complete user interface to control any aspect of the model's creation, modification and storage.
Using the Editor, you will be able to create a hundred of totally different models in less than 30 seconds, without any scripting knowledge.
It has been created to help the Indie and Pro users community of Unity 3D.

Prepare the Editor :

No scripting knowledge is required, just install the Editor, take the time to follow the helper and learn how to setup the tool and your future creation process.

Works perfectly in the Unity Editor mode or in the Ingame mode.

An helper inside the tool to explain almost all the aspects of the Editor.

A complete Expression system to help the user to define the various values required by the Editor. You can create, modify all the Expressions you want, regarding to your own projet requirement.

A simple Anatomy system for the slots and Overlays to be easily « attached » to your model. You also can create, modify and copy any of the anatomy parts.

A quick and easy system to create Color Presets and to it link to the race you want to use it.

The simple redefinition of the core of UMA, using a Generator Preset system, to create and modify the list of the desired Anatomy parts to create for your models.

A powerfull Libraries Tool, to change anything you want, to tweek and to link any slot to any Overlay in just 2 clicks of your mouse. Choose the races that would use the UMA elements, the place to create it on the model, and a lot more possibilities displayed on a single window.(you still need to add the Data Elements to the corresponding Libraries)

The Auto Detect System for your Slots and Overlay to be quicly configured, using the Expressions, saving a huge amount of time for the user.

Races, Gender and OverlayTypes are the center of the process, you can set any of it in the Libraries Tool Tab.

About the races, you can create your own ones or change any of the default bandle offered with the Editor. You can define the DNA limitations, and almost anything used to personnalize your models, just using a window (DNA Converter Editor). In the same window you can assigne Color Presets to the race, making a real difference in the aspect of your model.

A simple window to add (or remove) races to your Slots and Overlay, (you still need to add the RaceDatas to the Races Library).

Create your Model(s) :

In less than a minute, create one or an infinity of models (depending on your computer's power), choose the race, the colors, the morphology for one creation, or for all the model. All is possible in a fiew clicks.

Choose the gender of the model(s) or let it be randomized.

Choose the color for any part of the model or let it be randomized, or better, let it use the Color presets assigned to the various races.

Define the morphology of you models, the muscles and the weight, in 4 clicks. The Editor will handle all of it to create the model.

The step by step creation process is automated, using each of the parameters you choose for the model to be just like you expected from it.

You can make your model to be naked on to wear any kind of clothes, Overlays or meshes (slots), just select the wear type for the Editor to apply to the model, all in 3 clicks. Set the activation parameter, to determine if the model is wearing or not the clothes, independently to one from another.

Modify your model :

Select a model in the DK UMA Browser or directly by left-clicking on it in the Scene View, the Editor will allow you to modify any aspect of it.

In the Morphology Tab, change the aspect of your model by using a simple ensemble of sliders, for the face, the head, the belly or anything you want to change. The values are displayed, making it easy for the user to control the variations.

You also can assign directy to the model's race the limitation you desire for the next models to be created. That simple option will save you a huge amount of time, avoiding to open the Race Editor and the DNA Converter Editor windows.

In the Components Tab, you can add, remove, change the color of any overlays or slots of your model, making it so simple to modify the complete aspect of the model. All the components are simply listed, offering a quick overview of your model's content.

Saving the model to the location of your choice is also possible, using a small file to store the models information. You also can reload it in a click or open a dialog window to choose a model to load from your computer.

Easy setup options :

The « Emergency » button, to reset the generator and its components, in case you are missing something in your Slots, Overlays or Races configuration.

The save options, to determine the autosave path to your computer, to save automatically a model during the creation process, or the possibility to open a dialog box for each one. You also can disable the save option, keeping the model values in the Editor.

Configure the texture resolution and the atlas parameters, to save some memory.

Navigate quicly between the various Editor elements with a click, avoid to loose your time searching in the Hiearachy window.

More special features :

All is automatically saved in the assets, you do not need to loose your time creating the prefabs, all is automated. You also can make assets from your models with a single click.

Drag and drop a model's prefab directly in the Scene window, it will be re-generated directly and you will be able to control it like a simple gameobject.

You can copy the models without any problem.

A simple Search field is available in each of the list windows used by the DK UMA Editor. Type some word and the selection is automated.
